Fall is (statistically speaking at least) guaranteed to be everyone’s favorite season. Maybe it’s the crisp air and leaves or the glowing sunlight at the beach. But, we like to think of Fall as the best season for another cup of chai. The Sattwa Chai team has been busy checking out ways to serve chai for our fall bonfires and holidays shindigs. So, we decided to play around a little bit with the idea of warm and cool to match the sweet and spicy. This recipe has been a fast favorite and is getting a lot of “extra testing sessions” with our families. We hope you enjoy it!
- The Sattwa Chaiffrogato
- 3/4 cup Sattwa Chai
- 1/4 cup apple cider
- 3 T butter
- pinch of nutmeg
- pinch of cloves
- cardamom pod cracked
Measure out all of the ingredients and put into a shallow pan. Heat on stove top, medium heat until near boil. Whisk frequently. Pour immediately over vanilla ice cream and serve with a cinnamon stick straw, apple slice garnish and sprinkle of cinnamon.
